Lifeless (Poem/Story)

I run straight into an alley

My heart pounding, whilst beads of sweat trickle down my tomato-red cheeks

While running, I quickly turn around to find the transparent souls almost facing me

I gasp and fall down to the ground, my hands covering my eyes, blocking the hot tears spurting out from them

I feel myself vibrating

All the energy and strength draining from my soul

My emotions being transferred to the horrifying beasts

I let out one last yelp before getting sucked away

Never read any of the Harry Potter books BUT this is a seriously cool piece. Very vivid and rich in imagery. Its what amazes me about poets - to create so much image in such a short piece is beyond me. I can't do that - I have to write a book....lol
