For She

For She

A Poem by Beaudyn

And there you are...
Beneath the amber ozone, in the glow of the streetlights
The same you, but different
My smooth milk chocolate goddess transformed into the decadence of dark chocolate meant only for my lips
A taste transformed to suit my refined palette, my lips watering from the moment you step forward onto the street
That first time you came to me, unaware were we both of the magic and wonder created between our bodies, our minds, and our hearts

This time, with your sun baked sexiness, you know, and I know, and we know of the ethereal excellence and the animal magnetism and the sharp sparks of lightning and electricity, the positive bonds, the flashes and tingles and whimpers and moans, and we know all this in our heads, we know this as you come to me on the street, as my body flushes with the remembrance of the last time, the hopes of this new time, the knowledge and the anticipation of what’s to come

Then suddenly you’re beside me, seated next to me and I can taste your kiss on my lips, a feeling I’ve waited far too long for and it never lasts long enough and it’s over in an instant, and then there’s another and another and another and soon I’m drowning in your kisses and I can’t breathe and I’m helpless and I'm falling but I don’t want to be saved, just let me drown in your kisses, because your kisses take me home, your kisses keep me alive and save me from the refuge, your kisses are my assurance of happiness and of tomorrow and of never-ending love and compassion and family and I can see our daughter in your eyes when you kiss me

And I'm home
