The Time is ComingA Chapter by MissyMaia prepares to seek out the warriorPrincess Maia didn’t know how long she’d been lying in bed. Although she knew that the sun was beginning to rise because the sky was no longer dark. She pulled the drapes to the side of her bed. She got up and looked around her room. She wasn’t looking for anything in particular. She was trying to figure out what to do with herself. She was growing increasingly impatient for the portal to begin working so she could find the warrior. She got up and went into her bathroom. It was huge room almost as big as hers. The floors were a golden bronze like the walls. The walls themselves had magnificent designs that looked like they were coming out of them. Her bath itself looked to be in a whirl pool. She removed her bed slip by untieing the top and letting it fall to the ground. She went over to her bath and stepped in. It was still warm. It was always supposed to be because her father had almost gotten in a cold bath once and yelled to the servants never to let it happen again. Since then hot water was always brought in ever so often to keep the water from running cool. She like the feel of the warm water against her skin somehow it made her feel relaxed. Her nerves crept up on her for thinking about her father though. She wasn’t sure how Desmond managed to take them from her. She felt guilty for risking their lives for the warriors. She missed her mothers soft brown eyes and her fathers stern look. She was always too carefree and was getting in trouble by him. She would give anything for him to yell at her anything just to hear his voice. She knew though it wasn’t her right to risk the lives of thousands for the lives of two. Her parents would have to wait until she found the warrior. She knew with the warrior she could save all of them she had to save all of them. She closed her eyes in the bath to try to shut her mind off. The whole point of coming in this room was to stop making herself crazy. She couldn’t help it though the whole world was riding on her shoulders. She was only sixteen and not even married, not yet anyway. She was engaged to a savior or is, she didn’t know or cared much. It was union by her parents and it would increase his postion to syre, top savior. She didn’t know him very well and it was just another headache for her right now. “My lady my lady”, Beatrice rushes in the bathroom her read hair flying all around. “Yes”, Maia stands up alarmed. “Ether, my lady he’s ready.” Beatrice gleams with the good news. Maia didn’t wait for another word. She rushed back into her chambers. She grabbed the clothes that have already been put out for her on the bed. They were her clothes for fighting. She quickly dressed into her outfit and topped it with her crown. She wanted the warrior to know right away who she was. She took a step toward the door and stopped before opening it. She knew that once she turned this knob there was no turning back. She opened the door and descended into the candle lit hallway.
After the class had finished eating the students and teachers went back to spot where there new plane was going to be. They had about thirty minutes to go so those who were first got seats and those who weren’t settled in on the floor. Bryan wasn’t lucky enough he would’ve liked a seat, but he wasn’t first. He found a spot near the wall and went in his carry on to pull out his word search and start doing it. He was near finished with one puzzle when giggling kept interrupting his thought process. He looked up and it was just his luck that it was Tiffany and A.J.. A.J. had his hands all around Tiffany tickling her. Bryan could see that only one of his hands were visible which meant the other was probably under her shirt even though he couldn’t see a part of him knew. A.J. kept his face close to Tiffany’s making a sort of face that had her laughing really hard. Bryan couldn’t help, but smile because she was smiling. He couldn’t help the fact that he loved her bright blond hair flowing around wildly while she tried to squirm around madly while A.J. held her. It wasn’t long before the whole class was watching the scene and airport customers paused to look as they were passing by. Some laughed it off and some it seemed looked disgusted. Mr. Orson walked over in front of the front row where A.J. and Tiffany were sitting. “McNeil and Spincer this is not a place for frolicking nor is this field trip.” He said with a very stern voice staring them down. A.J. seemed to not care from his expression while Tiffany’s face got a little red from embarrassment. “Don’t make me separate you two the entire time.” Mr. Orson finished his sentence and then walked back toward his seat in the third row. Bryan was glad that Tiffany and A.J. had gotten a little space between the two of them. He went back to doing his word search. He was currently looking for ‘machete’. Just when he thought he found it on the right side horizontally he heard a loud thump. Bryan looked up to notice that the short kid he sat next to on the plane was lying on the floor face first. “What is going on here?” Mr. Orson rose from his seat to the front row in front of the short kid. Mrs. Redner also rose from her seat, but she stayed in front of it staring. “He didn’t watch where he was going and he tripped on my bag.” A.J. said pointing toward his bag. “Is that what happened Harris?” The short kid got up from the ground and stood in front of Mr. Orson. “Yes”, was all he said and walked away. Mr. Orson took the answer as is and returned to his seat his wrinkles fully showing on his bald head. He looked stressed, Bryan wondered why he agreed to go on this trip with them. Bryan went back to his word search. He went back to searching for ‘machete’ and found it instantly where he thought it would be. Unfortunately he didn’t spend that much time searching for the next word because he was interrupted yet again except this time it was actually for him. “Hi”, the short kid said to him. “Hey”, was all Bryan could think to say. Why was this kid talking to him after acting like a jerk? “I’m Sanford Harris.” Sanford said looking down. Bryan was shocked no wonder this kid didn’t want to be seen with him. “Bryan-Bryan Atwell.” “I know everyone knows who you are. You’re A.J.’s public enemy number one.” Sanford said coming near the floor Bryan was and sitting down. “I don’t know what his deal is.” Bryan said shyly trying to pretend like he was doing his word search so he wouldn’t have to talk. “I wanted to say…sorry for earlier on the plane. I’m just new at this school and A.J. and his crowd are popular and I wanted to be that.” Sanford said looking across the room toward A.J., Nate and another one of their boneheaded friends. “I came over to say that and I got cards if you want to play some poker.” Bryan didn’t know how to take his apology. He had never been apologized too before. He could only think of one answer. “Let’s play.” He said and put his word search back into his bag as Sanford grabbed a pack of cards out of his pocket and started dealing. They were only able to get in ten hands before the plane was ready to be boarded. Just like last time they got in single file line with Mrs. Redner in front of the class and Mr. Orson in the back. The students each showed the gate keeper their ticket and then climbed aboard the plane. © 2012 Missy |
