BansheeA Poem by DianeBanshee or Faerie Woman is what they call those that screams She isn't evil or Demonic as the sounds they make seem When death draws near and a loved one is sure to pass She cries and wails to alert you to the future's past There are so many tales to be told like is she young or is she old Is she dressed all fancy with a comb made of gold Or is she headless with blood in a cast iron bowl Is she Indian or Irish Irish I believe so Depending on what stories are being told The Banshee was a woman who loved her family so Some stories say different but how could we really know So when you hear that wail in the dead of night Do we prepare for whats coming Or in fear close our eyes tight © 2018 DianeReviews
