Some myth and tale. Beauty, wonder and terror. Succubus, one of the great tales in myth and tale.
"You enter their dreams
Excite them with lust
Enjoy your meal
Then turn them to dust"
The above lines. Maybe true, maybe a wish. Thank you Diane for sharing the amazing poetry.

I've always found folklore stories and creatures really interesting. I like your descriptions of the succubus, and the formatting and wording of the poem are good. I like the implication that the myths about the succubus might be wrong; it adds another level to the writing.

Thanks you for the review. I was trying my hand at something new and I found myself liking it.
The sharpest, cutting truth in a few poetic lines! Incredible imagery and word choice here. It all works well, especially the sharp, direct tone in your words. And, good advice for all who might read this piece. Nice work, Diane!
Hello, Diane! :)
I think it's a fun read. Who doesn't hate a succubus... Haha
Your poem begins with really great rhythm.
I think the line -
"feeding off sleep men's soul" would read better as " feeding off sleeping men's souls"
