For The Lonely.

For The Lonely.

A Poem by Diane

You say you are lonely
You say you are sad
You say it would be better
If you only had
Friends to fill the void
A lover to fix the sadness
All this would make life
Great and grand

Just a little info for you
None of the above
is true
It will make you happy
Only for a moment or two

we must fix our selfs
Friends and lovers won't do
We must get help
That is well overdue.

When our minds are healed
And our souls feel free
Will lovers and friends be good for thee

It seems this could've been aimed at me during a few periods of my life. The importance and truth of the advice cannot be overemphasized. If we don't have a positive view of ourselves, it will show, making us less appealing to others. A vicious circle is formed, and we have a hard time breaking free. An excellent poem, you really express the matter well.
