MamaA Poem by Diane
I close my eyes and say a prayer.
Praying hard that you are still there. My heart has been heavy since you left. The pain is still raw after years have passed. I feel your presence watching over me. I smell your scent when you are protecting me. Nothing has been the same since you left. You were my always and everything and that's that. I miss you so much I could almost crack. I can't crack, I have to be strong, Hold my head up and pretend nothings wrong. I still have little people who depend on me. I wouldn't want to disappoint my mama who taught me. I pray and pray when it is my time that you will come collect me and the soul that is mine. Meet me on the other side before the pearly white gates. Hold my hand but not cause of fear. I just want to feel the love that you radiate.
