If only

If only

A Poem by apocalypse

If only there be a day,
When the breeze blew a little milder,
When the sun rose a little brighter,
And the souls flying by,
Passed with a pace just that much lighter.

If only there be a day,
When the door was answered,
With eyes alive with a smile that warmed,
With a hand that brought home,
A lost soul that roamed.

If only there be a night,
When the restless slept,
Feeling safe as they're watched over,
By love that doesn't question.

If only there be a dawn,
When the fallen rose,
To a new life,
With a new stride,
A spirit revived.

If only there be a soul so clear,
To hold those with faith shaking,
Those with pleas ignored,
And place a caressing whisper,
To show that someone cared.

You have a very cute little poem here. It flows well; you used good vocabulary. This sounds really well read aloud or in the mind. Fantastic job.

About
Haven't exactly figured out the "What i am" aspect of me. Self-introspection doesn't happen to be one my best talents. I am intrigued by the morose nuances of life, but that doesn't make me any less.. more..
