Long walk homeA Poem by apocalypse
It's an unknown land.. this patch I've been sentenced to
I wish I could evade.. return home But I've lost the directions.. It's a long walk home.. and my feet bleed One warm hug.. to say its alright.. Seems to have grown into so much of a chore A little love.. feigned or felt That'd make me feel safe.. is the hardest ever ordeal But there's no whining.. I chose to recede From the road to animated vivacity.. And slip into that dark alley.. In my quest for the utopic haven It's a cold world.. co-inhabited by solitude alone I wish I'd have a choice.. I wish my plea I could voice But it's a long walk home.. and there's no hand to guide me on.. © 2009 apocalypseReviews
