I LOST A CHANCEA Poem by MRIDUL MITTALMAYBE AIN'T BLESSED ACROSS THE STREET LIVED A FINE 'BEE, THE BEAUTIFUL BLONDE A PLEASURE TO SEE THE INCOMPARABLE MASHUP THE TOUCH OF HER VOICE, IN LOVE WITH THE INNOCENCE 'BEE DIDN'T! GAVE ME A CHOICE STARTED BELIEVING SHE WAS THE ART, CURIOSITY TO THINGS WITH BLUES IN MY HEART, A SATURDAY EVENING ON A PAPER WHITE, A BLUE FOUNTAIN PEN I DECIDED TO WRITE, PUT MY HEART OUT WROTE EVERYTHING I FELT, MY ONLY LETTER IN YEARS,I LIVED WITH MY FEET SCRAMBLING I WENT TO HER, TOOK A DEEP BREATH AND GAVE HER THE LETTER, SHE WENT THROUGH IT STANDING BY THE FENCE, I PRAYED TO ALMIGHTY FOR MY ONLY CHANCE, SHE WENT AWAY SHE WENT AWAY IN A GLANCE, WITH WORDS UNSAID I LOST MY CHANCE I LOST MY CHANCE....
