Stopped By Police While Playing Pokemon Go

My encounter being stopped by Milwaukie, OR Police Department while playing Pokemon Go.

If you're out walking at night playing Pokemon Go like I was (it was my first night) and you're stopped by the police, like I was.. Wouldn't it be cooler to talk about the game and maybe take one of those pictures, black guy and white cop, kind of thing? Instead he asked for our ID's at hello without any reasonable suspicion.

Because I have been stopped and harassed plenty of times in my life (and my buddies have witnessed most of them - David NOlan), I researched and know my rights. I'm not a lawyer but my mother (Carmen R.) is our legal counsel in the family. I grew up in law offices and enjoy researching old cases. All to say, I know my rights.

I could have said the correct things - "Am I being detained or am I free to go?".
"Do you have reasonable suspicion of a crime I committed?".
If the officer wanted to bully me and force a search and seizure (which has also happened to me) I could say "I do not consent to being searched."

But because I was attacked & detained for sticking up for myself once before on the ironical date of July 4th 2010, I did not say anything and complied.

I can hear some people already saying, "well give the cop what he asked for." Or, "Well you wouldn't have been attacked if you just listened to the cop." BUT, that's like saying, "If the woman wore pants instead, she wouldn't have been raped." Or, "If the young girl wouldn't have flirted she wouldn't have been raped." Or, "if the old woman would have just given over her purse, she wouldn't have been shot by the mugger."

I wanted to stand up for myself and flex my rights, but like I said the last time I did that I was attacked and detained. The paper work/ticket/sitation they gave me that effed up night said John Doe, not Ekai Stone. Not the correct address or name or age. I was a rag doll for a night and everything was later dismissed in court.

Not all officers are bad. Duh. Will you find me at a Black Lives Matter protest? No. Because all lives do matter and it's silly any of this is being popularized and we're talking about this in 2016. I wonder if God had a different image in mind for human race by 2016.. (rhetorical question). Do I wish any harm on the armed forces, the police dpt, the sheriff's dpt, the highway patrolmen.. any of our security forces. NO! Absolutely not! Am I pleased to see them harmed NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT! Am I pleased to see black people die on TV and have I been pleased to see black people criminalized my whole life - whilst being black NO! NO NO NO NO! Don't get it twisted. I'm not freaking racist. My mom is white and from Bountiful, Utah, OK. My grandma is white and my beloved Great Grand Mother is white. I'm also not "white-washed" which is a terrible joke I've always hated.

To my brother that was with me last night. Don't take my silent compliance last night as ignorance. I was solely, afraid. My eternity is in heaven and I know that fear is not of the Lord. I'm not afraid of anything really. Except being attacked and detained by police again.
