Grains

Grains

A Poem by Shafeeq Khan
"

A short poem.

"
In this hourglass it's hard to tell if time has passed
Memories, actions, and emotions woven into the fabric of your skin
wanting to stay in this single moment, but time isn't giving in.
Do the most with this sand in the hourglass
Some of us believe we have a desert, when we’ve been given a sandbox

"Some of us believe we have a desert, when we have a sandbox" that just sums up the poem. True a lot of people take time for granted. Time is always on the run, we can't stop it, reverse it or forward it. I like it, it communicates an a sense of urgency and calls for agency in dealing with time.
