Discovery of Bliss

Discovery of Bliss

A Poem by Dylan Cook

Dealing with false pride and prejudice

People want to diss my path to bliss

But still I persevere and still I persist

On my path to my ultimate happiness

I keep praying for peace and love to unfold

Look for the true treasure, the true gold

Don't let your precious souls forever be sold

To those who won't let go of their selfish hold

Vicious vicarious cycles dragging me down

Doubts like boulders knocking me all around

Someone rescue me from this rut in the ground

I need to here a new voice, I need a new sound

I keep praying for peace and love to unfold

Look for the true treasure, the true gold

Don't let your precious souls forever be sold

To those who won't let go of their selfish hold

People are fighting with their own lovers

Abusing their children, sisters and brothers

Around ever bend of the turbulent chilly river

Another tragedy unfolds in the winding water

I keep praying for peace and love to unfold

Look for the true treasure, the true gold

Don't let your precious souls forever be sold

To those who won't let go of their selfish hold

Dealing with false pride and prejudice

People want to diss my path to bliss

But still I persevere and still I persist

On my path to my ultimate happiness
