Deep Thoughts

Deep Thoughts

A Poem by Dylan Cook

Mechanical memories masticate in my mind

Somedays the truth can be too hard to find

Forced to forego my own dreams sometimes

It's so hard somedays to find any peace of mind

So we dance between truth and deception

Learning to deal with the later in confession

Deciding which big battles to win or give in

Deciding when to end projects or just to begin

Mechanical memories masticate in my mind

Somedays the truth can be too hard to find

Forced to forego my own dreams sometimes

It's so hard somedays to find any peace of mind

But let's look from at it from a different direction

Let's look at it from all angles and positive positions

So we don't lead to our own doom or destruction

Make sure your river doesn't drown you in the ocean

Mechanical memories masticate in my mind

Somedays the truth can be too hard to find

Forced to forego my own dreams sometimes

It's so hard somedays to find any peace of mind
