Filling My Void of Universe

Filling My Void of Universe

A Poem by Rufus "Mr Blaque" Lacy, Jr
"

This piece was formed from reading and writing a review of Noodlehead's "Unlucky for Some". I always thought I was meant for a higher calling, please take time and read my poem, comment are welcome.

"

I have often exercised my curiosity of purpose

Having sleepless night of subterranean thought

Analyzing every vague memory of my existence

Dancing with the ideas of my belongings

To this vast, infinite cycle of life

Hoping to have my name splattered across the stars

I feel that I’m meant for greatest

But it is so hard to trudge my essence!

Traveling back and forward like a nomad

But with a sound perseverance of everlasting spirit

Touching every individual with smiles of love

Happiness and acceptance of my gifts

Which I share freely

Because my soul will not let me ponder on

Guiding me towards the inevitable progression

Of a higher mind state and understanding

Craving out a permanent seat in the cosmos

Warrant the keenest discipline of self

Embodying the vitalities of the surrounding

Breathing in the knowledge of my past self

Creating new genetic code of awareness, flesh and spirit

Passing that inherited material into the future

Cleansing the path for an immediate transference

Into my void of the universe

This sounds like every great thinker, philosopher and poet who has ever written down a word. There is a loneliness and yearning to belong which follows greatness and intellect. But it is also those very feelings which indicate a path of aspiration. The whole nature of man is held in three letters...O...G...and D. In one form they spell DOG...if reversed they spell...GOD...and we are constantly striving between our animal and spiritual influences and between those two natures of dog and god. May we all learn to be more godlike and less bestial than our fellow four footed creatures.

In order to be one of the greatest or considered to be closed to one,
One then had to look back the trail of greatness.
For it's the markings and footsteps left in the earth,
that engraved their names in existence
and brightens the cosmos like evening stars.

You have a fierce strength that glances deep within your soul and your place in this world, as well as gazing out into the vastness of space. There is an honesty to claim both reason and destiny, and merge them into a place of peace. Keep standing strong. Wherever you are, there can be no void.
