Once Upon A Time

By: Nick Workman

Every single thing about this girl is beautiful.

The looks she gives throw me off; it’s unusual.

I can’t get her out of my head

Even after all the blood we shed.

Running into her I always did dread

Because, to this day, I still regret what I said.

It’s unforgettable the way I snapped.

I thought, at that moment, what we had was scrapped.

But now she’s back and honestly, I’m scared.

I’ve always wanted her, but never thought she cared.

Times are different now and our bridge has been repaired.

And if things don’t work out, at least I’ll be prepared.

But she’s perfect for me and I want her bad

And she wants me too this time; it makes me glad.

She stares at me, her eyes so wide.

I can’t look away or try to hide.

She lures me in and I will abide.

I can’t see the future, but our souls will collide.

I can just feel what’s going to occur;

Once upon a time, I fell in love with her.
