Broken

Broken

A Poem by Scooby

Broken

By: Nick Workman

You said you’d never leave, but you did like all the rest.

My life is not about settling; I will find the best.

If there’s someone you feel is better, then honey, be my guest.

You shoplifted my heart and I’d like it returned to me.

Tell me a story about this whenever you learn to see.

You can be as big a part of my life as you earn to be.

What you see and fell for is what you get.

I’ve seen this all before. Would you like to bet?

Sweetheart, use caution or your eyes will get wet.

So contradictory and convoluted;

My mental stability you easily uprooted.

I gave you all of me and still got booted.

I will throw a fit.

I thought this was it.

Apparently I didn’t mean s**t.
