Creation Mutilation

Creation Mutilation

By: Nick Workman

If only you knew

Everything you meant to me

You don’t have a clue

I feel like you rented me

I feel so sticky

Like a used pair of underwear

Now, you haunt me tricky

And it puts me beyond a scare

You dangle my love

In front of my own face

And no matter how much we shove

We always seem to wind up at my place

What is this power

That draws us to one another?

And in our final hour

Will we finally be with each other?

I don’t know how to prove

These words I feel deep down

Because you won’t approve

Maybe I should just leave town

It’s been so long

And you still occupy my heart

I was so wrong

So wrong from the very start

Whatever comes of this

Just know I am forever

No matter what I’ll miss

I wont ever regret our endeavor
