Colors

A Poem by Scooby

Colors

By: Nick Workman

Ruby red faces

Angry in different places

Feelings turn blue

Cry like you’re supposed to

The other grass is green

But you’ve already seen

I’m an odd fellow

But your gold is yellow

Almost a shade of orange

Through a melodramatic love binge

When the white light’s bright

You’ll know I’m right

And when your silver starts to tarnish

I hope you realize what’s finished

So flaunt your crown

Even though it’s brown

For you shadow this day

With your ugly shade of grey

The way that you stink

Is as nauseating as the color pink

Hold my breath and turn purple

Because you’re toxic and hurtful

Your water is not teal

And I question if it’s real

What we had won’t ever come back

These colors mix to the darkest black.
