Static

A Poem by Scooby

Static

By: Nick Workman

I took a leap before I even looked.

I’m falling now; my earth you shook.

I can’t be crazy for I’m not locked up.

My mind’s on overdrive; feelings stocked up.

I wasn’t ready for my life to change,

But I knew that love was in my range.

When we met, my world went from black to blue.

I learned from you that I can handle two.

Not just me;

I am not alone.

Only you take my breath away;

Send shivers through my bones.

I know what I have to offer,

But I didn’t think you’d be willing

To give me all you’ve got

In return for my true feelings.

All my life, I could not forsee this

I hoped to find you, but it was only a wish.

Now that you’re here, I want us to stay.

I’ll fight for you forever; now I don’t know any other way.
