I would like to thank God

I would like to thank God

A Poem by Mpotavin

Staring out the window
like a TV screen.
Was that Fire
that she screamed?

Safe behind locks and walls
or metal and glass
driving too fast,
the best in its class
with an award on the dash.

Honking at Nobel
who lies in the street,
strapped with dynamite
and a fist full of cash.

In Greenwich Village
the clock tolls midnight
this adulation
at an end
as the final sign
for applause is raised.

And everyone claps their hands

Hm. I like how what's the word....unique[sp] your poem is. I can't do stuff like that. I try, but it never turns out right. Though, you catch it well.
*smiles*

~Smile. Jesus loves you.~

Love,
Stefanie

About
I have stood before cameras and stage. Smiled or just screamed in rage. I have feasted and gorged, fasted and purged my soul balanced between darkness and light. I have held a man as he died, whispere.. more..
