Every Breath

Every Breath

A Poem by Mpotavin
"

Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean people are not following me.

"

The eyes are everywhere

reflecting light like silicon jellyfish

Opaque globes drooping invisible tentacles,

ready to strike

to devour truth

into a sea of perception

flawed by a touch

a smudge

the death of a bug

one that said,

“hey baby”

banging his head against

unrequited love

to this impartial voyeur

disguising

the sweaty and bloodshot recorder

watching the slow wearing away

of seconds

as cracks settle across the floor

pulling us apart.

About
I have stood before cameras and stage. Smiled or just screamed in rage. I have feasted and gorged, fasted and purged my soul balanced between darkness and light. I have held a man as he died, whispere.. more..
