When that last tear drop falls

When that last tear drop falls

A Poem by Michelle Lea
"

fear of letting go

"

When that last tear drop falls...

there will be no-one left she wants to call.

As the pain of letting go intensifies...

there is no-one to hear her cries.

She understands that moving forward...

is the best doctorine for her.

But she screams on the inside with fear...

she doesn't know what might be near.

So she waits

   afraid of making a mistake

So she falters

to the agony of the unknown

The future that awaits...

When that last tear drop falls...

there will be no-one left that she wants to call.

Well, the confusion expressed in this piece - is probably symptomatic of the emotional distress. The protagonist has presumably ended a relationship? She also faces an uncertain future, and clearly hates the fear which that brings. Whilst reading, I had the impressionist of a young woman who feels vulnerable and insecure. However, she is aware that the best next step is for her is "moving forward". Quite interesting, Michelle!

There's nothing worse than being all alone and confused when in pain...

It sure is small and simple, but it showed great deals of many messages behind that...

What I got from this is moving forward. Not knowing what is around the next turn and fear of the unknow...the future. I'm sure a lot of people can relate to this. I sure can. This poem was great. :)
