Author's Note

the inspiration for this poem came from when my 15 year old daughter broke another's heart to get back together with her first love, this was the decision that she made after her first love (the day he got his driver's license) drove 5 hours just to come see her and to tell her that he was still ever so deeply in love with her.....

hey i really really loved this one... first the innocence in this work is so enchanting ...it is so simple yet so very deep... it's childlike essence makes you realise things without thinking and then forces you to ponder over it again and again..like some of the great things kids say without even realising the importance of their words..
my favourite lines being..

i dunno..these gave me a strange feeling..of how all i have is maybe nothing but something i snatched from far more deserving hands..and maybe.. someone else will do the same to me...

and the last lines.. lol..they left me confused with a silly little smirk... a sheepish smile to be true...

I thought this was a very cute little poem. I was trying to grasp what the number 4 before I read the author's note; but overall it was a good read.

That's amazing that at that age, there is still somewhat of a romantic side to the everyday teenager.
