My Dad from Texas

My Dad from Texas

A Poem by Michelle Lea
"

dedicated to my Dad

"

He's a man of few words,

with a heart bigger than

the state he lives in.

That's my Dad alright,

he used to tuck me

into bed at night.

He has a demeanor that can

give some a fright, like one

particular boyfriend I remember

that night!

He's just misunderstood,

he's not a grumpy old bear.

He's my Dad, this is true!

That's my Dad alright,

and I love him with

all my might!

Very sweet.

It brought out a childish tone in the beginning. A very nice thing to write about your father. Really! You probably have a very loving and caring father.
Nice work! Keep writing. :P

A sweet tribute to your father. Your lines show how much a proud daughter you are for having such a strong yet loving father. Thank you for sharing.
