You Keep Me WarmA Poem by motley poetry (special k)
Yellow glows, small chuckles, and the aroma of coffee in the air.
A woman leans in to her lover with a smile soon becoming infectious. You keep me warm. A structured man in his 40's studies the paper with no coffee additive. Yet when interrupted, he pleasantly studies the feelings of the figure in front of him. You keep me warm. This cup made of clay, with chips of wear and tear, sets on the wood table. Caffeine and caramel melt my uneasiness and leaves a sweated ring. You keep me warm. © 2017 motley poetry (special k) |
