two hearts

This poem is obviously about two lovers...I don't know why but it just kinda came to me.

Two hearts, desperate to find each other

Searching, needing that deep connection.

One after another,

They each go through people, their collections.

 

One of the hearts,

A social butterfly,

Only thinking with his parts;

He’s trying to take his fill before he dies.

 

He is sad though.

He feels empty inside.

He can’t find a girl who gets his woe;

Someone to be his bride.

 

The other of the hearts,

A loner by nature,

Searches for one will do her a favor;

Make her heart beat off the charts.

 

She feels numb,

To most she seems almost frozen;

Especially to the ones she’s chosen.

This makes them glum.

 

When they find one-another,

They will spend all of eternity

Entwined as lovers,

Embracing each other endlessly.
