Content to be Passionate

Content to be Passionate

A Poem by Siobhan
"

un-rhymed sonnet speaking of the need for passion

"

Content to be Passionate

Complacent in this existence, passion
does not enter into the equation
as often as I - and perhaps we - would like.

How do I reach out to you and express
the want I feel, the longing inside me?
I fear I have lost my words to seduce.

Was it only yesterday when we met?
The day before when I didn't know you?
How do we get to tomorrow from here?

I woke up thinking about you today.
Before I opened my eyes, I saw you,
felt my lips curve with wicked desire.

I cannot be complacent any more;
I want to be passionate with this life.
