Ghost Speak

Ghost Speak

A Poem by Siobhan

Ghost Speak
And if I could speak to you, help you know
when it was I last stepped across the frame
entered into that space you occupy,
would you know that it was me? Recognize
me without flesh, without words, as silence
drifting along the lines and creases, love?

I soak in your tears from this distance, so
afraid of where I want to be, I can’t
speak. This body longs to be touched again
with sweet whispers in those private places
the caress of your breath, mingled with mine,
heart beats rhythmically bound together – still.

Coax this desire from deep within me,

I will dream your passion and drink you in.
