missing you is a beautiful sin

missing you is a beautiful sin

A Poem by Addie Santos

I miss your tongue inside my mouth,
where it performs a dance of fire.
I miss your hands as though they were
attached on my naked belly,
declaring that it was yours.
Only yours.
I miss the way you treat me like I
was a person needed of it,
needed of a knight in silver armour.
I miss the way your chin fits perfectly
on my shoulder, connected just like
Lego cubes.
I miss the way you inhale my hair,
breathing in like this was your much
preferred alternative for oxygen.
I secretly miss the way you called me,
“baby”, I miss it. I miss it. I miss it.
What I’m currently missing is
how you told me I’m enough.
Am I now?

I like the poem a lot. Had the feel of real life. Hard to miss someone. Their memory and touch is wanted and waiting can be a bear. Thank you for the amazing poetry.
