breaking meA Poem by Addie Santos
I always imagine myself naked,
perched over a rock, the mountain streams flowing. I have a crappy battery operated radio beside me. The station plays classical music that decolours your pride and makes you want to hug your lover in the waist from the back. I will kiss the paws of untamed mountain lions. The larches and the spruces would welcome me and invite me inside their coatings for tea. My nails will feed on soil. I will fulfil my promise to my poems and proses. I’m going to chop off all my hair and for every strand I will remind myself why are your eyes so blue.
