The Stars and the Sky

The Stars and the Sky

A Poem by Michele

Would you warm my bones if I asked you?
Would you reach the sky if I asked you?
A long time ago you would have.
A long time ago I'd believe you.
This cold; cold and hollow and empty.
The stars are empty.
My heart is too frail
to cure another's bones.
