Darling, I'm losing

Darling, I'm losing

A Poem by Michele

Darling,

the rate at which i suddenly

slump into sadness
astounds me.

For I am not a sad person,

you see, my life is a seemingly

mundane pile of normalcy,

and yet I burn in my own anguish.

Darling,
I am losing the battle which
I thought I had already won

with myself.

This sharp pain of life

is insufferable.

I want to escape.

I want you to see me for what I am.

Every line holds power but it's the last line that had me breathless. It's filled with the desire to be accepted for who we really are.

Very strong speaker voice, yet vague. I'd love to see more concrete images in this piece. Thank you for sharing.

Absolutely love this as I can strongly relate. The mundane life can be troublesome and boring but by completing a task or changing something small in your routine to start of with perhaps it will keep the sadness at bay? Truely wonderful poem :)

Best way to deal with sudden sadness is to write. I love this.
