I think people receive greater satisfaction in pleasing others than themselves...

Really it's a selfish act, pleasing others, because in a way you're pleasing yourself and making yourself seem like a better person...

IT'S BETTER TO GIVE THAN TO RECEIVE...

Some people buy gifts or dinner for others because they're materialistic...

Maybe they think that i bought you this now you're indebted to me...

Not realizing that the feeling of guilt is weighing down on the other person...

Others buy food or gifts for others because it's their way of showing they care...

They may think that it's easier to buy something than share their feelings or make something...

ANY GIFT FROM THE HEART IS BETTER THAN ANY GIFT FROM THE STORE...

Love is a strong emotion... Even stronger than hatred...

Good people value morals and relationships...

Doing what's right and wrong... saving someone if you're able to...

In the end the good guy always prevails; well with few exceptions...

Therefore walking to the ends of the earth to help others in need...

I think some people think that we are self-centered and or cold-hearted because of the seven deadly sins and poor choices made by others (rapists, robbers, abusers, murderers, etc.)...
