This poem is about Amy Winehouse. She is my favorite singer of all time and very much missed. RIP Amy <3

Amy

I hold onto the only guy that will make me feel alright

Although he hurts me inside and out I’m in the zone tonight

He takes his time traveling down my throat and through my veins

A comatose, my body goes; I’m sleeping permanent

He pins me down to my floor and tells me “it’s okay”

I believe him; yes I do, I know no other way

He said “forget about your life and people who may care.”

Soon enough I said “they’re fine,” and imagined them not there.

“Now  your time is 15 minutes away.

Nobody came up to your place,

Kissed you goodbye or said they loved you.

Now your time is 15 minutes away

Is it sick to be ecstatic?

Maybe you will sell a tape.”

I’m on the jagged road to fame

People only know when you pass away

Everyone assumes a story and says your name

When your time is up, it’s actually just starting.
