Fall is in the Air

Fall is in the Air

A Poem by Morgan
"

a tribute to Autumn

"
Leaves crunching beneath my feet
cool, crisp air turning my cheeks red
blankets pulled off the top shelf
sweaters knitted with care

Freshly carves pumpkins line the porch
plastic masks and shiny capes door to door
candy flying all over the place
running house to house at a very fast pace

Scary movies on TV
candy corn chewing in your mouth
apples falling off trees
bouncing on hay bales in the back of a truck
Cooking for hours on that special Thursday
gathering around the table of yummy food
eating with family and friends
to finish the day you watch the game and sleep

The trees are bare
white flakes rain down slowly
and then being to rush down starting a blizzard
everything is covered in a white blanket

Wow, the sudden shift in the end definately adds some depth to this one-- something like enjoy it while it's here kinda of a theme. Well put-- great poem anyway you interpret it. Well worth a reread. Oh yes, fantastic imagery of fall-- well worth a reread!

Sigh. I love fall. And I'm so glad I stocked up on candy corn before it was too late.

I don't get on here much. I can only write when I am fully committed into my emotions, and sometimes it's hard for me to do that. My writing isn't that good, but I do it anyways. If you don't like it,.. more..
