SunshineA Poem by Morgan Bizzak
i hope you realize what you did to me,
took a brightened canvas and wiped it clean
hurt my vision like you were made of steam, what a rude awakening to what i thought was a dream i don't want you taking my sunshine anymore you broke the best parts of me, took the blue and turned it gray i don't think my eyes have been this dull before the angels were singing and the bells were ringing as the bonfire burned so bright but colors drain and so do i i don't want you taking my sunshine anymore oh god what a picture it was, started out whole and then turned to to dust how i wish i could throw these ashes to the floor the way i took you in and the way you threw me out, how i wish i had locked the door on you now i don't want you taking my sunshine anymore this summer i'll find another he'll take me into his sea, and bring the blue back to me he'll be the great sky above me, and you'll be left far off our shores and i won't let you take my sunshine anymore © 2015 Morgan BizzakAuthor's Note
