The Devil's Work

The Devil's Work

A Poem by MorbidSweet

Broken free the binding chains of day
In the dark do shadows play
In the corners of my mind
Vile thoughts, they do entwine
Thoughts of malice, thoughts of hate
Flying free within their wake
Tearing up my very soul
Making my warm blood run cold
Waiting now for their release
I realize now they're demons, beasts
Beasts inside my tortured mind
And relief I will not find
Until I let my demons free
And with sick and evil glee
I unleash them all upon the world
As all the evil of Hell unfurls
And with the slightest twisted smirk
I am glad to do the Devil's work
