Soggy CloudsA Poem by Moose The LesserThe desperation of someone trying to be significant. The forest is subdued The trees secrete a soggy mood Spiders on a silky brood Clouds casting blue-grey hues I wish a pigeon cooed Only the fish still jump and splash Trying to catch a raindrop stash Disappearing in a lightning flash To leave my teeth to gnash This afternoon's a time to fish And catch a stash, I only wish I could make a more thoughtful dish before the rain destroys my ink and washes out my thoughts to sink and underfoot to squish
