Well and today I am finally free of the past

I can see a new horizon with the rising

of a new dawn now that the rain, now that

the rain in my heart is gone, my heart has

finally found a new reason for being and

my heart is beating strong with High hopes

Oh yeah and today Heaven is here

no more crying the blues

no more living my life just trying to

please you, no more hanging my head

in sorrow or worrying about tomorrow

looking, just looking for something to go

wrong oh no, just to know whatever will

be will be can set a person free and so now

Bo, Where do I start. You do have a poem in there. But, you need a few things to get it to play to the ears of all your readers. I suppose, first thing you might do is lay it out(break it up) into a few manageable stanzas.
Second, minimize your repetition of similar phrases
Third, work on and apply some necessary grammar
At this point your poem should be developing a presence!
There is no easy way for me to tell you what plays well to your ears. You need to like what it is that you have written. I have just tried to help you to help yourself!
