Breaking Bondage

Breaking Bondage

A Poem by Bo Lanier

Enter cycle two and the Breaking of Bondage...
Well what lies down this road now Heaven only knows
but I'm not gonna be your prisoner anymore I don't
want to look back on yesterday tomorrow and regret
the dreams I didn't follow... It's just like the
breaking of the hour glass and reinventing myself, a
new world of discovery for me with lots of beautiful
scenery, Plenty of new people to meet, faces to see
and brand new opportunities from L.A. to New York City
in or out of the money I gotta be free just like a
wild hearted Gypsy... Could be I may find myself on
the silver screen just like James Dean and everybody’s
dream maybe then I could have anyone I so desire when
my house is on fire if you know what I mean... flying
high on high hopes for what the future may bring It
all comes down to me...nothing begets nothing and
so...just like the Phoenix rising over the horizon
This time no one's gonna still my crown kicking the
barriers down and Breaking Bondage!
