Nightbird

Nightbird

A Poem by Bo Lanier

Room full of candles, crystals and paintings

Well and this one is my little masterpiece…

De ja vu in my silver and black I am pulled

back in a flash like lightning from out of the

midnight blue to a certain place and time

but I never did ask forever from you.

And as the Nightbird sings in the shadow

of moonlight it overcomes me like some kind

of ghostly possession in the dead of the night

haunted by the coming storm I am no stranger

toxin my heart and in my life but it's just another

lesson learned where my higher self is concerned.

The thunder breaks like an earthquake and the

Nightbird takes to flight.

Oh but in my room full of candles, crystals and

paintings,

this is my little masquerade of dreams...

In my silver and black well I am thrown back in

a blaze of lightning from out of the dark mountain

sky to a certain place and time but never did I

ever ask you why...
