Hot To Trot

Hot To Trot

A Poem by Bo Lanier

Irish, Cherokee and Aries...

Well they say look out he's

On the war path again

I dare you to dare me to see

Who can out drink who when

It comes to whiskey, I dare

You to dare me to make it

Rain, you’ll need an ark or

A jet plane, I guess I'm just

That HOT TO TROT without little

Effort on my part yeah well

I guess I just have the luck

Of the four leaf clover 'cuz my

Bow and arrow never misses

Even over my shoulder or in

The black ink dark, I guess I'm

Just a little HOT TO TROT or at

Least I got the trophies to

Prove it whether or not it has

Anything to do with the heart

And I don't care how far I have

To travel to reach the other

End of the rainbow that damn

Leprechaun’s mine and once

I have his pot of gold I will

Hang his scalp in my teepee

For generations to see, there’s

No holding back a wild spirit

Fanning flames of fire from the

High Mountain winds...

Well they say look out, look out

He is on the war path

Again...

HOT TO TROT...little or nothing

To do with the heart. With little

Effort on his part just hot, Hot

TO TROT!
