WillowA Poem by Bo Lanier
A
curse and a blessing sometimes you lose, sometimes
you win, somewhere between darkness and dawn a candle in the wind... I take it to the heart, I take it on the run crossing some crazy state line one more time still hearing you say, “when you get what you want you don't want it anymore” well then you must still want me life can be something of a mystery So if you don't know the answers to their questions fake what you don't know and when the big wind blows rock on like a Willow Well it's just like the calm before the storm sometimes Heaven, sometimes Hell still under your spell But dreams survive and what's been done has been done I can hear you saying, “Don’t ask me questions you already have the answers to” but nobody has all the answers not even you so...I go blindly today into tomorrow but when the big wind blows I will rock on, rock on just like a Willow! © 2015 Bo Lanier |
