They Come

They Come

A Poem by Bo Lanier

Well and They Come like an army in the sky

In the blue of the day, in the dark of the night

Well I know it's beyond belief and I

Wouldn’t of believed it if I hadn't of seen

It with my own two eyes...wingless

Chariot suspended in mid-air in a bright,

Bright metallic white light...

They Come

They come beaming up to them

Random men and women for their

Own amusement and pleasure

But you will remember the nightmare

Forever...the invasion of the visitors

And by the thousands they come

Descending upon the earth...well I

Think we better all pull together and

Win this war of the worlds before it gets

Any worse...

'Cuz here they Come again...the grey

Ones from so far away, I never thought

I'd live to see this day and there is good

Reason to be afraid...yes there is good

Reason to be afraid of these grey ones

With beady black eyes and still they

Come like an army from the sky!
