beach

A Poem by moon

leafy locks alongside rocks
sun-kissed skin anew
cheeks go rosy, pink as posies
sip pink lemonade with you
caramel eyes turn amber hued
as the sun begins to set
sand in your hair and love in the air
cinnamon swirls get met
bits of peach stuck in my nails
the summertime tastes so sweet
strawberry jam and honey glazed ham
leave blue paper plates robbed neat
lilac skies, soft and bruised
gracious and painted for us
he took a look down, a golden old crown
never in the land is there fuss
