The Effect of WarA Poem by MoonspeckleHonestly, I do not know how some of my inspiration comes to me, some of these things I have had no experience with!
The crying of a small child,
Her tears slowly crawling down her small face. The brutal war, had turned this once happy child, into an orphan in a matter of seconds. Her father, mother, and siblings, killed instantly around her. Her innocent eyes, now clouded in sorrow. Her hair, covered in soot, laced with the ash of the bombs. She sits beside her family, the pool of blood growing quickly. Why had she been left alive? Was it because the soldiers had pity on her? No, they took her, grabbed her while she was kicking, screaming, and crying. They did not kill her for one reason, because she was from the family of great killers. Skilled in the art of destroying anything or anyone in their path. But how was her family killed so easily then? When guerrilla tactics are used, no one can predict the outcome. The only thing this girl has of her family is her stuffed kitten, which goes everywhere with her. They plan to train her, teach her to fight against her own nation. But, they are too late, for her parents have taught her well in the way of resisting. The war between two nations, is slowly killing them both. Slowly, the earth is obtaining too much bloodshed, soon, it will not be able to hold no more. What will stop this war? It seems to never end. Slowly, the nations will become too weak, and need aid from others. But will this come at a cost? These nations will be quickly be taken over, their act of anger towards one another destroying them. © 2011 Moonspeckle |
