Live Once.

Live Once.

A Poem by Lydia

How many bridges are in flames behind me?

I am sure I can burn one more by the end of the week,

because weakness isn’t exactly my strong point.

I’m not really sure I have a good side

so let’s not make a fuss about where the scar will go.

We’ve hit a new low

And I can’t stand not standing up

For everything I ever wanted to believe in

And I can’t handle when you’re not around

Or the fact that everything she wanted

Is right here on the ground

‘cause dying’s not all up in the stars,

Just more scars on everybody’s heart.

You only live once,

You know.
