Broken.

Broken.

A Poem by Lydia

She says, ‘Hello London,’

And I fear she’s forgotten me,

Pushed out of her mind,

Like the magic that made

Her hold her breath

As I held her…

I am still shy, too shy

To speak up, and say,

‘I miss you like the Earth misses the Sun;

To see you again would be to see

An era of springtime or the depths of the sea.’

No, I’ll keep quiet this time,

Because Love never dies.

We just grow colder,

And we’re older now:

Old enough to know better,

But young enough to hold onto hope,

Albeit be dead and gone.

Rules are meant to be broken,

But I’m afraid I broke you first.

I notice a lot of the poems I read on this site remind me of heartache and pain. lol
But in all seriousness this was very well portrayed.
You can't give up on love even if it seems lost.
