Dreamer.

Dreamer.

A Poem by Lydia

It was the moments that meant the most to us that made us who we are.

It was the unspoken words that should’ve been said that we hear when we dream.

Do you ever dream of me?

There in your galaxy of wonder

And I wonder if the words I never said

Are the words you needed to hear.

We are all so lost,

Caught up in the hustle of everyday life

While our lives bustle on without us.

We waste our time and fill our minds

With useless information,

Watching our imagination flee

And we shrug it off, saying

“That’s the way things are,”

Knowing full well that’s not how it’s supposed to be.

Yet, we continue on living mediocre lives

With boring hobbies and ugly wives.

We quit dreaming.

Maybe you’ve reached that point.

But for those of us who haven’t,

Glide far and wide on your Milky Way,

And never pay for a smile,

Unless it’s with a kiss.

Feel everything with everything you have

And never, ever forget the words I never said.

Because I know in your mind, and in your dreams,

You’ve already heard them time and time again.

I love you.
